M.ED., Dance, Early Childhood, Special Education
Robyn Zinszer has had extensive training in dance, early childhood education, and special education. She graduated from East Carolina University with a B.S. in Dance Education and obtained a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education and a Special Education Endorsement from the University of Alaska. Recently, she attended Harvard University’s Project Zero Teaching Symposium which focused on multiple intelligences and arts based education. Robyn has also attended Brain Compatible Dance Education Summer Institutes with Anne Green Gilbert. Robyn has choreographed and performed with local dance companies, including an integrated company comprised of able bodied and differently abled dancers, and has taught dance in a variety of community, university, and private/ public school settings.
Currently, Robyn teaches kindergarten at Kaleidoscope School of Arts and Science, a public charter school in Kenai, Alaska. Robyn researches and designs curriculum for her students that is reflective of varied multiple intelligences, utilizes authentic assessment and project based learning, and integrates the arts as a catalyst for deeper understanding.
