This 4-day summer institute is presented jointly by the Alaska Arts Education Consortium and the Anchorage School District. Participants will weave the arts with both the Anchorage science curriculum and the new Alaska State Science Standards focusing on grades K-6. Teacher Leaders will guide you through multiple forms of the arts in which to engage your students.

Teacher-leaders are:

  • Brian Hutton: Multi-Arts
  • Amanda Thompson, Visual Art

For out-of-town attendees:

UAA Housing is available at a very discounted group rate!  Information about room floor plans and other amenities is available on the UAA Housing website.

Registration fee is:  $200 for teachers from member districts, $250 for teachers from non-member districts. There is a cancellation charge of $50 if cancel within 30 days of Institute.
