Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which people understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.

The arts can have a profound impact on the social emotional health of our students. Join this inaugural SEL institute, where participants will develop knowledge and skills to infuse SEL into your curriculum in & through the arts!

Registration is $249 for teachers from member districts and $349 for those from non-member districts.  Cancellation is requested within 30 days or a $50 fee will be charged.

KPBSD is offering registration scholarships for the first 15 KPBSD educators registered from the district. (Limited to teachers that are committed to teaching during next school year.)  A $100 deposit is required. (Select the Scholarship Teachers option. ) Deposit will be refunded at the Institute.

Please notify of cancellations before 30 days to receive a full refund.

For out-of-town attendees, housing will be available at the Alaska Christian College in Soldotna.  More information will be provided soon..Teacher-leaders are:
