Alaska Arts Education Consortium has launched its newest effort–The Rural Arts Initiative.
The RAI has recruited 5 rural districts from around Alaska–Alaska Gateway, Lower Kuskokwim, Lower Yukon, Nome, and Skagway. Representatives from each met in Anchorage recently, with a few people on Zoom during the 1.5-day meeting.
During this time they reviewed the Goals, examined their districts through a Continuum, and began to develop an Action Plan for their district. Â

opian, from Fairbanks, has abroad and diverse background, and is now a puppeteer–thus bringing the arts to the job!
